Hotel/Village

In the scenery of one of the most charming and renowned places on the Ionian Calabrian coast, on the marvellous Squillace Gulf, in the middle of a large park with ancient trees, there stands the Villaggio Calaghena Hotel. The Hotel combines the elegance of the antique structure and the functionality and modernity of a wide range of services and comforts, for an unforgettable vacation.

The core of the Village is represented by a set of old houses in natural stones, skilfully restored and surrounded by more modern buildings that pleasingly match with the other ones. The 152 rooms, placed in the central body and the park, meet the most varied requirements and offer the most modern services.

To complete our services we offer our modern wellbeing centre and the elegant convention centre, and our numerous leisure facilities and, finally, the proximity to Soverato, one of the most renowned tourist centres of the Calabrian Ionic Coast, known all over the world as “The Pearl of the Ionian Sea”.

Rooms

The Village includes 152 rooms, placed in the central body and the park, modern and elegantly furnished, endowed with the necessary comforts to offer our guests a pleasant stay.

They are divided into the Standard type with 2/3 beds without balcony, and the Comfort type with a balcony or a terrace. For both the types it is possible to ask for the sea view. To complete the choice, we offer the Family rooms, which consist of two separate bedrooms, available only on request.

Restaurants

The Hotel has three restaurants in the Village and one at the beach: The “Garden” restaurant pleasingly overshadowed by round tops, with an area reserved to children; The “Tipico” restaurant, with air conditioning, can be reserved at the Reception with an extra charge per person (children 3/11 years of age 50%); the “Papiri” restaurant, only for special occasions; the “Beach” restaurant, available from June to September, from 12,30 pm to 3 pm, can be reserved at the reception with no extra charge.

Bar

The Hotel has 3 bars on the whole: the “Swimming pool” bar, open from 9 a.m. to 10 pm, where our guests can have, on payment, delicious cocktails; the bar “Casale”, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Gulf of Squillace, open from 10 pm, on payment; the “Beach” bar, from 10 am to 6 pm.

The Beach

The Lido Calaghena is about five minutes far from the Hotel. The white and fine sand, mixed with stones close to the shoreline, and a cobalt blue sea with its transparent sea bed invite you to embrace them in every season. The Beach offers several services: bar and restaurant, shady areas to rest and relax, beach umbrellas, deckchairs, showers and dressing rooms. And more: windsurf, canoeing, sailing, mini club, beach volley, free shuttle service.
